Tadpole 1

The lazy 'daze' of Summer is in full swing.

Jake has one more month of swimming lessons and staying up late.
One more month for practicing "big arms."

Sooner than later, Summer will end and back to the routine of school work and schedules.

But right now, we will have fun and be silly and laugh till our tummy's hurt.

I love the lazy, crazy fun filled days of Summer.

Chevron Scarf from Last Minute Knitted Gifts
Knit on Size 5 needles
Yarn used Socks that Rock Lemongrass and Thistle
Knit and completed during Jakes swimming lessons

** STR has beautiful, intense colorways. Easy on the eyes, but a pain to block. I ironed the crap out of that scarf and blocked it overnight AND it stills curls into itself!!!

Jack is busy knitting the second sock....but here is one for your viewing pleasure!

OH jack, a man after my own sock knitting heart. He is soooo dreamy. So are those socks.
I think if I had the stuff to make my coffee this morning, and was drinking it at the time I saw the picture of your son with his Telltale LMKG scarf pose, I would have destroyed my computer.
Seriously, I would have it framed. Haha. He is totally rad. Way to go with his swim lessons/ your knit time! Yay!

Thanks for the tip on the STR curling.. Good to know because I love that scarf and have been thinking of knitting it for some time now.

The eyelashes on that boy are gorgeous. I doubt that's something he wants to hear but just so you know, he's a handsome one. My brother got loads of compliments on his long thick lashes when he was a little one and one day just cut them all off! Great story but probably not so fun for my mom at the time.

Love the chevron scarf- great colorways! I'm jealous that your summer is in full swing as mine is about to end. Enjoy the rest of your long days and late nights!

I hear you about summer versus school and routine. Who invented this lie about parents being glad when the kids go back to school? It's usually the saddest time of the year for me.

I *love* the scarf!

And my sons' teacher says "big arms!" Could it be the same teacher? Wouldn't that be funny?!

I'll be glad to have Jack back in Halloween Town, but sock knitting is an admirable pursuit, so his absence is acceptable. I'm glad to have found your blog through the Christmas swap and look forward to seeing more of your adventures
