Summer is here. The sun is shining & the temperature is rising. Jakey's last day of school is tomorrow. So long First grade...Hello Summertime fun! Yes, it's here alright. So why I decided to knit a WOOL vest, I cannot say. But the upside is this baby is practically knitting itself. Very, very quick knit. And yes boys and girls, That is most definitely waffle stitch. Not exactly the same as "you know who", but a first cousin for sure. Victory is mine. Vest = No Sleeves! I will not be in waffleville for very much longer. *Close up shaping detail
I'm thinking Rowan's Calmer would be a good choice if I knit a second vest...Very So Cal friendly also.

That looks great!
I love how your vest is coming out! I think that color is great. I'm also in Southern Cal and haven't ever been a big vest wearer ... this may change my mind though!
wow, looks gorgeous. you sure did get far, fast!
You are totally the reason why I ordered Fitted Knits. You make everything you knit look amazing, and by golly, thats tempting as hell.
I just bought my yarn for my 2 tone shrug- two 220s of each color... I hope its enough! I am SOOOO excited.
So, thank you!
Your vest looks amazing, btw, but deep down, you know that already. ;)

Very pretty, love how that's knitting up!
You're very impressive! Sweaters on and off the needles in no time! I love your vest and I can definitely relate to knitting w/ wool in the summer. I've been making a felted bag w/ cascade 220. I can't wait to see your vest in Calmer, as well!
This is fantastic. I love it! I also live in southern california on the beach even so whae I would wear wool I have no idea but I love this vest so I'm gonna pull out the cascade and make one.
That's looking just beautiful!
Hey Susan - I have added wine to my first-day-in-new-place-grocery-list now - I totally need wine to help unpack. Many thanks for the suggestion :)
Wow, you're really getting good use out of that book. You should be on commission ;p
